The dream that was not to be

For a fleeting moment it appeared that we might have a book worth around £4,000.00. In pristine condition, it would have been. The book in question was ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ with illustrations by Arthur Rackham and published in 1908. Sadly our copy was missing the spine. This might have been worth restoring had someone not removed the first illustration in the book. The value had plummeted and may only be worth buying for the illustrations. I might have been tempted myself if I had not almost run out of wall space.
