The chemical history of the candle

I do not tend to think of chemistry when I light a candle as I have not studied it since I left school. This book, published in 1960 (our copy is the 2nd imprint) is a popular science classic based on a series of six lectures delivered at the Royal Institute in the 19th century.

The cover has a great design and there are 35 diagrams inside.
